Terms/General Information
We value you as a long-term customer and present the following simple terms and conditions as our most economical means of serving you.
PAYMENT TERMS:
All shipments are made C.O.D. unless prior arrangements are made. Wholesale distributors desiring to open an account must provide four (4) credit references from suppliers plus a bank reference. Payment for all goods shipped on an open account is due within 30 days from invoice date or shipping date, whichever is later.
- Wholesale Distributors: Net 30 terms with a 10% discount, if paid within 10 days.
- Dealers: All orders must be paid via credit card.
OVERDUE ACCOUNTS:
- Accounts overdue by 60 days will be placed on C.O.D.
- Accounts overdue by 90 days will become C.O.D. cash only.
- All overdue accounts will incur a 1.5% monthly finance charge on the outstanding balance.
FREIGHT POLICY:
All shipments are F.O.B. Liberty Ln, Chisago City, MN and insured at your cost, which is added to the shipping charges.
- Our primary carriers are UPS and U.S. Mail.
- Customers may use their own shipping company if preferred.
- Opening orders are shipped on Altec’s account.
CLAIMS:
- Claims for damaged shipments must be reported to Altec within 7 days of receipt.
- Claims for shortages in shipment must be made in writing within 7 days of receipt. Phone notice will be accepted.
DISCOUNT QUALIFICATIONS:
- Wholesale Distributors must place an initial order of at least $5,000 to qualify for wholesale pricing. Reorders must be at least $1,500 to maintain wholesale status.
- Dealers must place a minimum order of $250 per transaction. Orders below this amount are subject to a $10 service fee.
PRICES:
All prices are subject to changes without notice. However, we will make every effort to provide at least 45 days’ notice before adjustments.
GUARANTEE:
All Altec Products are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects. If a defect is found, please notify us, and we will authorize a return for replacement. We do not guarantee against damage due to incorrect installation, road hazards, or misuse.
RETURNS:
Returns for any reason other than defective merchandise are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Please call for return authorization before sending any product back.
